Why buy a used Mitsubishi Mirage with Exchange and Mart?

The post-2013 version of Mitsubishi's little Mirage was a rational, no-nonsense five-door petrol-powered hatchback that aimed take on both Citycars and Superminis in the most compact and affordable segments of the small car market. It isn't supposed to be dynamic and luxurious but it is affordable, spacious and very cheap to run. Potentially then, worth a look as a sensible and under-rated choice.

About the Mitsubishi Mirage

Packaging. It's something this car is very good at. Not only in terms of its practicality but also in the way that it combines together a whole series of very sensible virtues. Let us explain. There are Citycar segment models that are very cheap to run. Others that can take a reasonable amount of luggage. And some that claim to be able to seat five people. But finding one contender in this class that can do all of these things pitched in at a reasonable price is a lot harder than you might think. It won't be your first choice if driving dynamics or cutting edge interior design are of highest importance, but that won't matter to the majority of buyers in this segment. Ultimately, for us, it's a car that makes a lot of sense if you're looking for something that's affordably priced, able to comfortably take three kids on the back seat along with their luggage and deliver 65-70mpg and sub-100g/km CO2 levels to keep running costs low. Lighter, sleeker and more practical than nearly all of its rivals, the Mirage ticks all these boxes. Which means that in the very likely event that your priorities happen to be something like those, you might need to go and try one.
