If you find a car you're interested in on s1cars.com, and that car is marked with our Cashback logo, then you're on your way to receiving £50 from us.
So how does it work?
- Search s1cars for cars with the Cashback symbol
- Register your interest in any cars you like by clicking the Bank this car button. You're under no obligation to actually buy the car.
- We'll email the dealer(s) to let them know you are interested (we won't pass on your contact details though!)
- Visit the dealership to view the car
- Buy the car
- Return to s1cars to claim your £50 cashback. It's as simple as that!
FAQ
This seems all a bit too good to be true. What's the catch?
Genuinely there is none - s1's reputation as Scotland's leading internet brand has been built up long and hard and we'd be very foolish to put that at risk.
We're able to do this because we want to give car dealerships a risk free advertising package. Under that deal they only pay us when they sell a car, so we need to make sure we know when a car has been sold. What better way than by offering a cash incentive. We also like the idea of rewarding loyal users. Everyone wins.
How do I claim my £50 Cashback?
Once you've bought the car, return to s1cars.com and log into your account. Find the car in your account and click the 'I bought this' link. At this stage you'll be asked to provide your full name, address and the date you bought the car. These details will be used to confirm your purchase with the dealer and to send your cheque.
How long does it take to receive my £50 Cashback?
You'll get a cheque within 28 days. Once you've clicked the 'I bought this' link, we'll get confirmation from the dealer that you are the new owner, then we'll then start the payment process.
How long do I have from the date I purchase the car to claim?
You have 30 days to claim your £50 Cashback from the date you purchase the car.
When I Bank a car what details are sent to the dealer?
We will only send your username to the dealer so that they can see what response they get from s1cars. No contact details will be supplied so you don't need to worry about a salesman contacting you.
By Banking a car am I obliged to buy it?
No. Banking a car simply allows you to claim your £50 Cashback if you actually buy the car from the dealer.
Does Banking a car mean that I'm reserving it?
No. In order to buy the car you have to contact the dealer.
What's to stop me Banking a car after I have bought it and claiming the £50 Cashback?
We take a note of the date you Bank the car on s1cars.com. If this date falls after the date you purchased the car then your claim is invalid.
What's to stop me just making a claim regardless of whether I bought the car or not?
Well, your conscience, and after that the fact that we will of course always check with the dealer that they did actually sell the car to you after you Banked it.
What happens if the dealer disputes my claim?
If the dealer thinks that you didn't buy the car you'll be sent an email informing you of this and you'll be asked to provide proof of purchase which must include date of purchase. We will accept copies of your V5 certificate, sales order form from the dealer or a valid insurance certificate. You can scan them and email them, fax them or send them via good old fashioned mail but they must arrive with us within 7 days of you receiving the email disputing the claim. Once you've provided the proof then we'll write the cheque.
Is there a limit to the amount of cars I can Bank?
No, you can Bank in as many cars as you like.
Is there a limit to how many times I can claim the £50 Cashback?
No, if you buy 10 cars that are advertised with this offer on s1cars.com then you can claim £50 Cashback for every one of them! However, you can only have one car in the Cashback process at any one time. Please contact us if you want to claim for more than one car at the same time.
